Our people have spoken. We're one of Australia’s Best Workplaces in Technology

We’re excited to share some news that has our company chat lighting up with emojis: we’ve been listed as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces in Technology™ 2025.

It’s a big moment, but not because of the recognition. It’s big because it’s based entirely on feedback from our team. When people across the company say they feel trusted, supported, and inspired to do their best work, we know we’re building something that matters.

This recognition isn't based on perks or polish. It’s built on something deeper: the everyday experiences of our people.

"Building a great workplace has always been about things that matter. It’s about trust, opportunity, growth, and giving people the space to deliver #outstanding results; in their work, for our customers, and in their communities,” said Tony Walls, Objective’s CEO. “It is a privilege to collaborate with so many incredible people on projects that deliver meaningful outcomes. I see us living and celebrating our values constantly and I am extremely proud of the culture that defines our company”.

Being ranked on the Best Workplaces list recognises organisations where tech professionals genuinely thrive. The ranking is based on data from the Great Place to Work® Trust Index survey, a rigorous, anonymous assessment of employee experience. This survey measures the quality of relationships between employees, management, and their day-to-day work. It evaluates trust and workplace culture across five key dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. So yes, we’re proud.

But we’re even more proud that our team feels supported, empowered, and genuinely connected to the work we do here.

"We’ve always believed that great culture isn’t a 'nice to have'. It’s a strategic advantage,” remarked Pauline Nel, Chief People Officer at Objective. “This recognition confirms what we see every day: people lifting each other up, bringing their full selves to work, and choosing to grow with us."

But what makes us great? It's not just the perks (although we have those too)

Sure, we’ve got the good stuff. Flexible work, meaningful projects, epic offsites, and the occasional cupcake-fuelled session. But that’s not what drives us. What really makes us tick is:

  • Shared purpose – Everyone knows why we’re here and the impact we’re making.
  • Autonomy and trust – No micromanaging, no red tape. Just smart people doing meaningful work.
  • Room to grow – Career pathways aren’t just PowerPoint slides. They’re real, and they’re supported.
  • Good humans – We hire for values, not just CVs. That’s how we’ve built a team that’s collaborative, kind, and regularly hilarious.

    Culture is built, not bought

We believe culture isn’t set once and framed on the wall. It’s built daily; in the way we run meetings, celebrate wins, learn from failures, and support each other during our journey to solve real problems for our customers. Being a finalist is fuel to keep building, evolving, and listening.

Objective and I have the same values. That spirit of a fair go, that you'll always be there for your mate and it all lives inside this global company with an Australian heart. That's why I feel so at home here.
