The Scottish Charity Regulator’s strategic journey to the cloud

Advancing and automating information governance processes with Objective Nexus

The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) is the independent regulator and registrar for more than 25,000 charities across Scotland including community groups, religious charities, schools, universities, grant-giving charities and major care providers.

For OSCR, data and good information governance is essential in supporting public confidence in charities and the work that they do.

As an Objective customer for over 15 years, OSCR has worked in partnership with the Objective team to support best practice information governance and ensure evolution alongside changing technologies, legislation and trends.

Like many public sector organisations, OSCR had a strategic objective to move towards the cloud and achieved this through migration to Objective Nexus, a next generation cloud-based platform providing records compliance, information management and process automation.

In this video case study, John Fellows, Senior Manager – Digital and Communications at OSCR tells the story of this move along with the resulting benefits for staff, charities and the community.

“We use [Objective Nexus] everyday as a corporate memory, it stores everything of corporate value…we've always got the up-to-date version, it’s safe and secure. These are really important things for modern public sector organisations.”
