It's always a delight sharing the success stories of our customers. Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) embarked on a journey to improve public health processes by transforming the way their major funder contracts are managed and approved by injecting digital technology and workflow to overhaul processes.
With approximately 7500 employees, Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) is one of twenty district health boards established under the provisions of the New Zealand Public Health & Disability Act 2000 (NZPHD Act 2000). They provide health and disability services to an estimated population of 534,750 or 11 percent of the total New Zealand population who reside in the local authorities of Auckland, Waikato and Hauraki District. Digital Transformation The results of their digital transformation project are certainly impressive. With CMDHB responsible for over 600 major funder contracts that manage hundreds of millions of dollars for the provision of health and community care services in the Counties Manukau District, they now manage 100 percent of funder contracts digitally.
Steve Murray, Finance Manager of Counties Manukau District Health Board said, "We digitally transformed our funding contracts approval process. The result improved collaboration, enhanced efficiency, reduced approval times, eliminated paper handling and provided visibility." Significant reductions in approval time The time spent managing approvals has reduced by more than 60 percent per contract, with some reduced by up to 87 percent. Contracts that require the CEO's approval are now completed via an actionable email on a mobile device. The email contains all history of the contract, including any comments or changes and is approved with an electronic signature. Business operations are more efficient and there is much greater transparency of records and the approval process.
CMDHB were also the proud recipient of the Objective Innovation Awards 2017 Process Governance Certificate of Merit for their contracts approval process. Congratulations again on this fantastic accolade!
